What’s my process?

I use suggestive and explicit imagery to re-contextualize familiar images in new circumstances; always drawing on camp as my constant inspo.

All of my materials are sourced through real media. I spend hours in archival libraries like Chicago’s own Gerber Hart & Leather Archives scanning images of queer perverts who’ve passed down the legacy we continue today.

I prioritize queer references - like the art of cruising for sex - to normalize the urge to fuck as a social expression of desire that should be enjoyed.

My references come from art, entertainment, and consumerism as palettes for splaying the rainbow of perversion in all its glory.

Playing with perspective through my composition; I offer the voyeur a surreal contrast of images to guide my narrative intention. When reading my work from left to right you’ll find that it often takes on “S” shape, pulling you closer to the edge.
